All of the new products are something I would gladly take.

Sigma released new lenses for DX cameras

First one on the left (in the photo above) is Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM, fast replacement for standard 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens. It has a larger aperture, built-in focusing motor (HSM) and optical stabilizer (OS). Lens diameter is 77mm.

The one in the middle is Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM, really wide angle lens with built-in focusing motor (HSM). It’s quite slow but wide angle is something you usually use outdoors for landscapes (lots of light) or indoors for interior shots (flashguns). It offers great field of view from 121/114° (depending on the camera) to 75°. There’s no information if filters can be used as the lens comes with built-in hood. This is something I could really think of purchasing because I’ve been after a wide angle for some time now.

The lens on the right is Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM, fast portrait lens with built-in focusing motor. It would be great for low-light photography, portraits and macros. Also 85mm will have a 77mm filter size.

All of the lenses will be available for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sigma and Sony DSLRs. The retail prices are still unknown.
