Finland’s post (Posti, Itella) has lost a package that was coming from Germany. The package includes a second-hand Carl Zeiss Flektogon 50mm f/4 lens for Kiev 60/Pentacon Six. Obviously I’m pretty pissed about this.
The package was sent from Germany on 29th of January by DHL. It arrived to destination country (Finland in this case) on 3rd of February. DHL Germany’s tracking does not go farther than that, the tracking (and delivery) should have shifted to Posti. Posti does not have a glue where the package might be and they do not have any desire to find out. I’ve already asked the sender (an eBay professional seller) to make a report of loss at local DHL office. I hope he will do that soon.
So far:
- I’ve visited the local DHL distribution center
- called Posti’s customer service twice (they are annoyingly unhelpful)
- called DHL Finland’s customer service (they were extremely helpful but couldn’t do anything as it’s not their package)
- double-checked the tracking code with the sender
- asked the sender to report the loss

Note: the lens in the photo does not have anything to do with my missing lens. It’s just a similar zebra model as I was supposed to receive.
// Update on 19th of February: The lens was finally found and it arrived intact.
